Professor/Associate Professor in Applied Psychology
Job Description
Candidates with expertise in psychology and neuroscience including but not limited to the following areas: Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Personality Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, Psychological Methods, Psychological Assessment, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Factors, Consumer Psychology, Counselling/Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Psychopathology.
Candidates in the areas of Counselling/Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Psychopathology will also be considered at Assistant Professor level.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have a PhD degree in the areas above. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in English. Candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publications in peer-refereed SCI/SSCI journals and scholarly presses will be considered as competitive candidates. Neuroscience-related research experience (e.g., fNIRS, EEG/MEG/iEEG, and/or fMRI) constitutes an advantage rather than a necessity. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
Benefits and Appointment Terms
Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave, social insurance and commercial insurance. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
