Centre for Teaching and Learning--Research Assistant


This is a one-year grant-funded position and the renewal will be based on availability of funds and work performance.

Job Description
1. Conduct research and develop relevant resources on digital teaching and learning, and e-assessment;
2. Facilitate the design and implementation of blended learning and assist in program evaluation;
3. Support the creation and maintenance of multimedia learning materials, including interactive online modules and instructional videos;
4. Assist in drafting guidelines regarding teaching, learning, and assessment;
5. Coordinate faculty professional development and students learning development programs;
6. Coordinate the applications of national and provincial curriculum and teaching projects, and teaching/student contests;
7. Support the daily operations and maintenance of the Centre;
8. Perform other activities assigned by the Director or his delegates.


Job Requirement
 1. A Master’s Degree (or expected to graduate before summer 2024) in Digital Education, Higher Education, Educational Psychology or related field;
2. A minimum of 2 years’ or above working experience in academic administration, higher education institutions or the equivalent;
3. Proficient Microsoft Office and new media skills;
4. Strong quantitative and analytical skills and problem-solving skills;
5. Good command of both English and Mandarin;
6. Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and learning practices;
7. A detail-oriented team player with organization and coordination skills;
8. Excellent communication skills in a multicultural setting;
9. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
10. Experience in Virtual Learning Environment (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas,) is preferred;
11. Experience in college teaching, assessment techniques in higher education or faculty professional development is preferred.
  

This is an one year position, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year based on performance. Further continuation of the position is subject to the needs of the Centre, performance, and availability of funding. The position is available immediately, and later starting dates are negotiable.
