Job Description
Applicants with teaching interest and key research strength in one or more of the following subject areas: Tourism Economics and Financial Analysis, Big Data and Data-driven Tourism, Smart and Modern Tourism, Sustainable Tourism, Tourism Policy, Planning and Cyber Security in the context of Tourism, Cultural and Creative Industries.
Applicants should preferably also possess teaching interests in Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management courses such as Big Data Analytics in Tourism and Hospitality, Smart Tourism Development, Hospitality Industry Financial Analysis, Club Management, Food and Beverage Management, Resort Management, Revenue Management, and Sports Management.
Professional Qualifications
CAUTHE, CDA, CFA, CHE, CHIA, CTH, or/and PMP certification would be highly valued.
Job Requirement
Candidates should have a PhD/DBA degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
Benefits and Appointment Terms
Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
