School of General Education (SGE) is seeking candidates with teaching expertise in voluntary service (Community Service) or service learning, the position is expected to be filled in Sept 2023:

Job Description
Main activities and responsibilities:
1. 按学校课程设置及大纲要求，保质保量完成每次授课，并做好课程记录；
Complete each class according to the school curriculum and syllabus requirements with quality and quantity, and keep good records of the course.
2. 开拓义工服务课程校外合作机构，与合作方建立长期、稳定、良好的关系；
Explore cooperation with external institutions for voluntary service, and establish long-term, stable, and good relationships with partners.
3. 跟踪学生的课程反馈，并根据反馈定期测试、迭代课程内容；
Track student feedback on courses, and regularly test and iterate course content based on feedback.
4. 组织、督查教学团队日常的教学工作；配套资源，保障教学团队按时按质完成教学工作；
Organize and supervise the daily teaching work of the teaching team, provide supporting resources, and ensure that the teaching team completes their work on time and with quality.
5. 负责课程教学团队的培训，对教学团队进行培训指导，以提升整体课程质量；
Responsible for the training of the course teaching team, providing guidance to the teaching team to improve the overall quality of the course.
6. 参与学术模块、活动模块的工作，负责部分课程研发工作；
Participate in the work of academic modules and activity modules, and be responsible for part of the course development work.
7. 做好与课程相关政策、制度、流程、工作安排等方面的上传下达及沟通工作；
Handle and communicate with the relevant policies, systems, processes, and work arrangements related to the course.
8. 上级交办的其它事宜。
Other matters assigned by superiors.

Job Requirement
Candidates should have a PhD degree in social science or environmental science;The candidate is required to have a PhD or at least a Master’s Degree in Social Science with extensive teaching experience in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching of voluntary service or service learning. The candidate should be cooperative, patient, enthusiastic and responsible. 

Preference will be given to candidates with a firm commitment to teaching and tutoring students. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Proficiency in English is required. English/Chinese is the main medium of instruction. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.

Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. 

Appointment Terms
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
