Job Requirements
The Cinema and Television program is seeking candidates in one or more areas of both film production and film studies, capable of instructing courses including Directing, Cinematography, Film Producing, Sound Recording and Mixing, Color Grading, Photo Imaging, Film Editing, Special Effects, Production Design, Virtual Production, Film History, Film Theory, Film Culture, and more. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a creative practice or research while teaching, managing, supervising, facilitating field trips, tutoring and caring for both UG and PG students.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or at least a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree with teaching experience in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in UG or PG teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have professional experience in entertainment or media, e.g. working in film and/or media industry and having professional credits and industry connections. The candidate should be cooperative, patient, and enthusiastic.
Proficiency in English is required. English is the medium of instruction in the Cinema and Television Program. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.

Qualifications/
Education
· Preferably a PhD in Film Studies, Media Studies,
or Game Studies
· At least an MFA in any
areas of Film Production
· Membership of relevant professional bodies.
· Postgraduate qualification in Teaching and
Learning in the Higher Education or equivalent professional bodies.
Skills/Training
· Ability to teach Directing, Cinematography, Film
Producing, Sound Recording and Mixing, Color Grading, Photo Imaging, Film
Editing, Special Effects, Production Design, Virtual Production, Film
History, Film Theory, Film Culture, etc.
· Proficient in the following software/applications:
Premiere Pro, AVID, Pro Tools, Da Vinci Resolve.
· Stay informed about advancements in industry
equipment.
Experience
· Preferably three years of teaching experiences
in higher education institutions.
· Having experience in in course/ program/ curriculum
design/ development.
· a minimum of five years of experience in the
film industry to instruct film production.
· Proved experience in management and
administration.
· Evidence of working with external institutions
(industry or academia).
· Sustained PhD completions.
Language
Skills
· Proficient in English.
· Proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
