Professor/Associate Professor in Applied Psychology (Ref: FST210905)

Job Description 
The position is associated with teaching two to three of the following subjects: Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Theory of Learning, Psychological Assessment and Testing, History and Systems in Psychology; Psychology of Cultural Diversity etc. The position is also expected to contribute to administrative work, school-based committees, community services, and research.

Job Requirement 
Candidates must have earned a doctorate in Psychology or a related discipline from a recognized university. Interests and experience in leading a research laboratory, applying grants in the discipline of developmental psychology, health psychology, and/or educational psychology will be an advantage. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Appointment Terms
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.  The College reserves the right not to fill these positions, or to extend the search until suitable candidates are identified or to make an appointment by invitation.
