Job Description:
The successful candidate is expected to deliver lectures and tutorials in the areas such as Mathematical Finance, Probability Theory, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Derivatives, Risk Management in Finance, International Finance, Fixed Income Securities or similar areas depending on the evolving needs of the department. The successful candidates are also expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research and contribute to the university in terms of service and administration.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should have a PhD degree in financial engineering or financial mathematics and ideally few years of teaching/research experience at a university or equivalent after completion of PhD degree. Candidates from mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science, computer science, or finance field are also welcome. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels in English. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Appointment Terms:
Appointments to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of one semester or one year. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
