Part-Time Faculty Member in Globalisation and Development

Job Description

BNBU's Department of Social Sciences (DSS), specifically its Globalisation and Development (GAD) Programme, invites applications for a part-time Assistant Professor or above position. The successful candidate must be able to teach "Project Management for International Development" as a core course, along with, possibly, other courses offered by DSS/GAD.

 

Job Requirement

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

1.      A PhD and/or significant professional experience in international development, project management, sustainability, global affairs, human geography, or a related field.

2.      Ability to teach "Project Management for International Development" effectively at undergraduate levels.

3.      Preference for candidates with either:

a) A strong independent research track record with demonstrable impact, or

b) Substantial field/project management experience (e.g. with NGOs, development banks, bilateral/multilateral agencies, social enterprises, or impact-driven organizations).

4.      Commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.

 

Academic rank will be determined based on the candidate's combined experience and accomplishments.

 

Appointment Terms:

Appointments to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of one semester. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
