Job Description

Candidates should expertise in one or more of the following areas: Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Toxicology, Health Science are welcome. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes or have extensive working experience. The new faculty member is expected to teach some of the following courses: Life Cycle Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, Nutrition and Exercise, Life Style and Health, Food Security and Sustainability, Globalization and Health, Principles of Global Health, Health System, Policy and Management, Molecular Biology, Research Methods in Food Science, etc.

 

Job Requirement

Candidates should have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Post-doctoral experience is highly recommended. Strong English language skill including speaking and writing is mandatory. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

 

Benefits and Appointment Terms

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave, social insurance and commercial insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
