Prof. Xiaowen Shan’s group is looking for a researcher in the field ofcomputational fluid dynamics (CFD), especially in areas of kinetic theory, cavitation modeling, lattice Boltzmann method, and industrial-level simulation software development. The internationalized research team offers exposure to cutting-edge research opportunity in novel CFD development on leading-edge platforms, intensive industrial interaction and collaboration, and competitive stipend.
The ideal candidate will participate in academic research activities under given projects within Institute for Advanced Study at BNBU. The main job tasks include research planning, computer programming, article writing, and providing guidance to graduate students, etc.. This is a position with a contract term of three years and the actual starting time can be slightly modified depending on the candidate’s availability.

Candidates with a Ph.D. degree or above in computational fluid dynamics, statistical physics, applied mathematics, computer sciences or a related discipline are encouraged to apply. Prior research experience in implementing complex algorithms on massively-parallel computing platforms with strong academic records will be given priority. Strong English language skills are an asset. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic with academic research.
